An
appointment is made on April 16th in Paris for
the start of the 21st Tour Auto Optic 2ooo, followed by five days of genuine
pleasure in the heart of France.
From North to South, some 230 teams coming from all over the world will drive
on an unpublished route, dotted with special stages on closed roads and
circuits, and fabulous landscapes.
One more time, the spectators can admire the biggest
variety of racing cars never committed on French roads: very popular models
such the Volkswagen beetle or the Citroën SM but especially many rare and
spectacular models as Ligier JS2, Porsche 906 and 910. Without forgetting, of
course, the incredible Ferraris 250 GTO, stars of the 2012 edition.

Starring in 2012: The legend continues
In 2012, the famous 250 GTO will celebrate its fiftieth anniversary; a perfect occasion to pay it a well deserved tribute during the
21st edition of the Tour Auto Optic 2ooo. A return to the roots for the car that won everything during its career: the 24 Hours of Le
Mans, The GT World Championship in 62, 63 and 64 and of course the Tour Automobile de France, among others...
With only 38 models built, the 250 Grand Tourismo Omologato is one of those cars not often met on roads, except during the Tour Auto
Optic 2ooo, which has welcomed one or several to nearly each edition. The 2012 list of competitors will, of course, include several 250
GTOs come to celebrate their anniversary on the asphalt.
