After a memorable 2009 edition, the next Tour Auto Optic 2ooo is already emerging. From 19 to 24 April, 2010, it will drag its competitors towards Mediterranean, through a brand new itinerary : at least three of the next edition's five stages will be firsts. Actually, after the regular, or nearly, stop in Vichy, the route will stop off in Lyon and in Megève before reaching Aix en Provence, last break before the finish in Beaulieu-sur-Mer. The grid will be worthy of the edition with a special celebration; the fiftieth anniversary of the first victory of the 250 GT "SWB"s in the Tour de France Automobile. The Berlinetta is indisputably one of the cars which made a lasting impression on the French rally: three years of complete domination in the early sixties.

September 1960, an armada of nine Ferrari 250 GT "SWB"s line up for the start of the ninth after-war "Tour de France Automobile". In the lineage of brilliant 25OGTs, animated with an outstanding 3 litre-V12, the new version boasts a chassis shorter by 20cm, dressed in majestically drawn aluminium bodywork and is the first road car equipped with disc brakes. The result at the finish after a 5000 kilometre expedition via the Ventoux, Spa and Nürburgring: an expected victory, and a triple one as a bonus! Magical name, legendary engine, perfect ”figure” and unique prize winner… a genuine icon whose 50th anniversary will be celebrated by the 2010 Tour Auto Optic 2ooo.
