Saga

<< Back to Timeline

The public gathered along the Leman lake side to applaud the Lotus Elan success. A tribute to Colin Chapman, the genius engineer who is the behind these little Brits, whose double camshaft together with their lightness have once again made the difference. And nothing seems to stop the Hügenholtz' who add a seventh victory to their prize list! There is no doubt that the French/Dutch couple's name will forever be linked to the Tour Auto. Lajournade/Bachard, improving each year, came second, one place better than in 2006.

But the sixteenth Tour Auto Lissac will be particularly marked by the start from a legendary place, historical cradle of automobile: the Grand Palais which actually hosted the first motor show ever.
